I am a translator of literary texts into English, primarily from Swedish, but also German, Danish, Norwegian, Faroese, and Icelandic. My translation projects tend to revolve around writers whose work destabilizes and defamiliarizes the world through the stretching and rending of language, and/or explores the political power of poetry and language. I am a frequent contributor to Swedish Book Review, a full member of the Swedish-English Literary Translator's Association (SELTA), Översättarcentrum, and the American Literary Translators Association (ALTA). I am always looking for new projects, with particular interest in poetry, literary fiction, and narrative non-fiction. A brief bio essay on my translation practice can be found here.
Honors for my translation work include:
Invitation to participate in the Översättargruvan translation workshop — 2021
Translation & Travel Grant from the Swedish Arts Council — 2021
